Andy grew up in Albuquerque and graduated from Eldorado High School. After playing baseball at Lamar Community College in Lamar, CO, Andy accepted a baseball scholarship to play for the University of Kansas Jayhawks where he studied American and Latin American history. Upon graduation from KU, he spent two summers in Eskilstuna, Sweden playing baseball for a local club. After his playing days were over, Andy was able to travel the world teaching the game as an Envoy Coach for Major League Baseball. These incredible experiences saw Andy teaching in cities and villages throughout South Africa, Germany, Indonesia, Singapore and China.

After almost three years of working, living and traveling all around the world with MLB, Andy attended the University of New Mexico School of Law. At UNM, Andy’s focus was on civil litigation and on trial practice. He was a member of UNM’s National Mock Trial team and competed in regional and national trial practice competitions. Andy got his first experience representing clients while enrolled in the Southwest Indian Law Clinic (“SILC”) at UNM. His time in SILC allowed Andy to represent clients in civil and criminal matters in state and tribal courts in New Mexico and in the Hopi Tribal Court in Arizona.

As a grandson of John “Jiggs” Scholl, who was a magistrate judge in Grant County for over twenty years and the son of Steve Scholl, an attorney in Albuquerque, Andy grew up around the law. He is extremely excited to be in practice himself. In his spare time, Andy enjoys photography, traveling, cooking, bicycling and tinkering in his garden.
